MAET Course Work
CEP 800, 815, and 822:
Prof. Punya Mishra
The summer hybrid courses allowed me to further develop my technology skills, as well as my knowledge of TPACK. Throughout the course we learned about TPACK and the different ways that technology can be used to enhance student learning. Below, you will find various samples of my work. The courses cumulated in the Dream It project, which is a drop down selection in the "MAET CourseWork" menue, under CEP 800, 815, and 822.

De-motivational Posters
These de-motivational posters were created using power point and saving the slides as images. The purpose of the posters was to reflect on what we had learned in our readings and a lectures.
What we were trying to show, in the mastery image is that people are more often self-motivated rather than motivated by money. Meaning, that when offered bonuses for performance, does not always result in better work. There is a similar idea with the intrinsic motivation poster. |
Cognitive Concept Map & Willingham Book
The book that we were required to read for this class was Why Students Don't Like School, by Willingham. The book looked at school from a cognitive approach, then applied it to teaching. The end result was to look at teaching as a skill that needed to be continually worked on with a goal of improvement.
To the right, is a Prezi that illustrates the different ways technology can be applied to the book. Below, is a link to a Google document that is a notes outline of the chapter. Finally, to the right, is the concept map we created for chapter 9.

Key Issues in Educational Technology
There are many key issues in educational technology today. Our group created a website that focused on social and ethical uses of technology. This looked at issues revolving around digital equity, intellectual property, and copyright laws. We also looked at best practices that should be involved regarding student safety and ethical practices.
Final Reflection Paper
Below is the link to the PDF version of my reflection paper. The paper reflects back how I have grown throughout the summer as a teacher and how I continue to grow in the future.
